Quamé Hamlin is an emerging writer-director based in Washington, DC. He is a Cine Qua Non Lab fellow, SHIFT Creative Fund winner, PAGE Awards finalist, and Showtime Tony Cox Screenplay Competition finalist.

With a Master of Fine Arts from American University and a Bachelor of Science from Norfolk State University, Quamé has worked with Complex Media, Nike, CBS, and The New York Times Company in the name of great storytelling over the course of his career.

His latest film, Recovery Chain, premiered at HBO’s Urbanworld and is in the midst of a festival run. Currently, Quamé is in the process of developing his feature film, Park Kidz.

Quamé’s work, filled with familial themes and varied Black experiences, often highlights America’s underrepresented groups and interrogates cultural identity.
