Quamé Hamlin is an emerging writer-director. He is a Cine Qua Non fellow, PAGE Awards finalist, and Showtime Tony Cox Screenplay Competition finalist. His work has been recognized internationally and has screened at multiple Academy Award-qualifying festivals.
With a Master of Fine Arts from American University and a Bachelor of Science from Norfolk State University, Quamé has worked with a number of revered companies and organizations over the course of his career.
His latest film, Recovery Chain, premiered at HBO’s Urbanworld and is in the midst of a festival run. Currently, Quamé is in the process of developing the screenplay for his feature film, Park Kidz.
Quamé’s work, filled with familial themes and varied Black experiences, often highlights America’s underrepresented groups and interrogates cultural identity.
